Is Nextcloud a complete replacement for Microsoft 365?
Not necessarily. Nextcloud takes a different approach and is not a one-to-one copy of Microsoft 365. It can replace many everyday workflows around file storage, sharing, document collaboration, chat, calls, calendars and team work, while some Microsoft-specific workflows may still require other tools.
What can we use instead of OneDrive?
Nextcloud Files provides centralized file storage, synchronization and secure sharing for your organization. Team members can work through the browser, desktop clients, mobile apps and supported WebDAV applications.
Can our team collaborate on Office documents?
Yes. Nextcloud Office allows teams to open and collaborate on supported documents directly inside the workspace. The experience is different from Microsoft desktop Office, so organizations with specialized macros or Microsoft-specific workflows should test their documents during the trial.
What replaces Microsoft Teams?
Nextcloud Talk provides team chat, voice calls, video meetings and communication within the same environment as your company files. Business setups can also be configured for larger or more demanding Talk environments.

Do we get our own private Nextcloud environment?
Yes. Business Cloud is designed around a private environment for your organization rather than simply giving your users accounts inside one shared public Nextcloud service.
Can we use our own company domain?
Yes. Business Cloud supports using a custom domain, allowing your organization to access the workspace through its own company address.
Do we have to move everything from Microsoft 365 at once?
No. A gradual transition is often more practical. You can begin with a test group, move selected file and collaboration workflows first, and expand the workspace after your team is comfortable with it.
